Need to add a Semi-auto?

I have many 22 semi autos and LOVE plinking away with my antique Marlins, Cooeys etc , but when I need a gopher slayer I always grab my 1022 . For 10 years that thing has killed tens of thousands of gophers . Aside from a good yearly barrel cleaning , I’ve only had to take the rest of it apart ONCE in a decade to clean the action and trigger . This Spring will mark its 11th year as my number one gopher rig , and with its stainless barrel and recent addition of a BX Trigger I suspect another decade of great service . While it sucks that I had to toss out the fantastic Butler Creek 25 round mags that made ridding the place of rodents much quicker ( thanks ahole gun control freaks ) , with a pocketful of 10 round box mags I can clear out several colonies a day .
Can’t beat that for the price .

Now that Ruger "owns" Marlin maybe they'll come up with a 10/22 tube fed. Bed it in a laminated wood stock and I'll be a Happy Camper

The CZ 512 is a solid, reliable, and well-made semi-auto. It's definitely not tacticool.

Also pretty accurate for a semi.

A semi I hadn’t considered until I did some research and then bought on auction is a Remington 552. Full size, has a long history, but with Remington out of business you’ll need to hunt one down. I’ve been impressed with the built quality, mine is a 1988, and the accuracy.

I've been eyeing the 512 for a few years now but kinda forgot about it. May have to take another look.

So there are some positives re buying from #######. Always good to have more buying options.

I was going to suggest a 512 too, bought one a few years back because I got a good deal on it, still haven’t got around to shooting it but I will eventually. The 512 looks like a very nice SA for the money, I believe the trigger isn’t as nice as it could be from what I read.

Both the Marlin 60 and 10/22 wood stock versions are relatively common on the used market if you wait a while. I'd say the 10/22 is easier to load if you want to shoot lots compared to the tube mag. Also, I never like sticking my finger in front of the muzzle when taking out the tube. Also, the 10/22 can be customized much more.
