Need to double that pile before the election, for support against a BAN.

Hope you guys all have New Hampshire farms to export your restricteds to if the ban hammer falls.
That's a lot of expensive iron to have to turn in for destruction if you don't.b:

As someone that has only watched a few episodes of Boston Legal, my grip of Canadian practice is on even more of a margin. That said, aside fro reclassification and grandfathering, could the gov really push for an overnight ban/turn in? If so, through what mechanism?

None of my restricted firearms will be going anywhere. The only thing that will result in the destruction of my restricted firearms is barrel wear.

Besides, exporting your firearms out of the country has the final result of doing exactly what the anti's want you to do, which is to leave you unarmed and vulnerable to coercion by force while you are in Canada.

There are a hundred and five threads on that very topic. DOn't focus your energy on how the government might ban something. Focus instead on what YOU will do to help stop it. Have you written your senator yet to tell them to vote against C71?

Very well said, none of my canadian remaining restricteds will cross the border ( 2 very expensive ones did crossed to NH but not for their value, more for their meaning to me). I will fight that on canadian soil.

I won't be taking a chance i will make sure to buy those 5 restricteds in the weekend.
Now I have seen it on the news, he is trying to ram through 11 bills through the senate, there is no democracy left in Canada, sad.
Caramel, can we rent space on your New Hampshire farm to store our restricted toys?

The internet tough talk sounds good NOW on a computer screen but how is it really going to go down when the knock on the door happens and a pair of big burly mounties with mp-5s are standing on the door mat?
Most will cave when they get the registered letter from the Canadian Firearms Program advising them of their obligations and rights with timelines in regards to their registered restricted firearms that have been banned by OIC or legislation. It won't get to the active enforcement by armed LEOs stage.
I've seen it happen with a friends Franchi SPAS-12.
Lipping off to the cops was the last thing on his mind. They left him with an empty spot in his gun locker and full boots.
But of course you guys are tougher ... at least on the internet.
I don't see the same group of people that let the governments of PET, Mulroney, Chretien steamroller over them for 5 decades all of a sudden transform into "from my cold dead hands" Chuck Hestons.

EXACTLY!
It's easy to talk big when you have a way out ... an escape plan that most others can't afford.

I all ready bought 12 firearms in NH ( all would be prohibited north of the border)my safe is half full.

I am not that worry, we will fight that all together, we have no choice.

My lawyers are prepared to move fast if neccesairy, remember we are not sheeples going to the slaughterhouse, we got claws and fangs and a class action assorted with an automatic injonction will pin the govt to the ground.

I have won my fare share of action in court in my life, i am no stranger to the process.

I am ready to ruummble.

And like i wrote before my worst nightmare is being caught unable to buy handguns in Canada.

Imagine you want to buy a nice Les Baer and you are forbidden to do so. Geezz.

What's your action plan when the OIC and/or legislation passes in a few days or weeks?
The time to stop ths was 50 years ago when c150, c51, c17, c68 were passed without as much as a peep from most apathetic, lazy and cheap gun owners.
A few turned up for the fed-up rallies but most sat at home and did f'k all while a few bantered and argued among themselves cloistered in an internet bubble the past few years.
We didn't get to this stage overnite.

I read the chest puffing, strutting and blow hard posts and all I can think of is the limp dik response to the High River BE + thefts by state enforcement agents.

But I hope and pray that you're right and Canadian gun owners have finally grown a pair ... BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.

We need to work together to fight this, best way is through NFA and CCFR, etc. And through them, a class action lawsuit. IF the law comes to get the restricted firearms, it is my understanding that we need only give them the receiver part which is considered the firearm, like the lower of an AR, receiver of a semi pistol. I will have the names and badge numbers of the cops who take the guns and a receipt from them, an injunction would help if we could get one and if they already have the guns then an injunction against destroying them so we have time to fight to get our property back.

Nice to read a post that's not 'knocking' the NFA for a change.
Usually the NFA is lumped in with the NRA, Faith Goldy, Montague, Trump and other entities that actually DO STUFF in a derogatory manner.

Just received notification from Durham Outdoors that my ZASTAVA M57 transfer/registration is complete and that its been shipped. Canada Post tracking has a delivery date of 15th April 2019.

The order includes 3 extra 9 shot magazines.

Looking forward to removing the cosmoline and taking it to the range. Compare it to my Polish TT-33.
