Need to ID Norma R-23 powder, pistol I think ...

LG; Are you sure you do not mean Norma R-123? I cannot remember any Norma powder designated R-23. Many years ago I loaded my 44 Magnum with Norma 123. I cannot find my data on it, but I remember it being ever so close to Hercules [now Alliant] 2400. Regards, Eagleye.

Here we come to the rescue, Levi. Let me know if you have tried any of the last "recipes" I told you about.
Norma, R 23. The R stands for revolver, just as their P numbered powder stands for Pistol.
Here is their "R" powder.
It says the loading data is right on the container, which was common with old powders, so you are away. If you don't have a magnum revolver, you have a good piece of trading stock.
Don't be afraid to go by their data, if you have a proper revolver in good condition. It will likely be a full power loading.
