Here is the break down.

So I went to shoot my Custom .284 Win today, for the second outing (now has 40 rnds through it)

And I'm getting discouraged quickly. Today at Silverdale my best group at 200 was .2" and some to .7".

I feel that my main issue is shooting from the front rest. I cannot get it figured out. I can shoot from bipod all day and will post my target from today for the 5 group challenge with my .308 Win.

I'm looking for help from someone who shoots competitive BR or Fclass and goes to Silverdale. I'll pay for your daily fee and will load rounds for the rifle. If you shoot at Oshawa, I can pay with beer if you can take me as guest.

I need to make sure that it isn't me pulling the shots, but maybe the barrel or the chambering. If it is me, then at least I'll know what to work on. At this point it looks like I'm just wasting reloading components.

The rifle I posted before is Stevens Long Action, Select Match 31" barrel bedded into SSS HBR laminate stock with 3" fore-end, Rifle Basix 2 trigger. Sinclair Gen 2 rest. Scope is 10-50 Sightron SIII LRMD/CM

I am desperate.

You can also PM me.

I'm hoping to have more info on this later this week as well, I was getting some 1" -1.5" groups with my 260rem at 200yard at well, with a couple .436 and .466, and all I can figure is its in the repeatability of the set up and how the rifle recoils each time.
So I've made myself a solid bipod and will be trying it out later this week to see how that will tighten the groups, I hope it does anyway.
I also noticed with a .22lr match rifle that the groups were much better when shooting with my left hand holding the butt stock, than with left hand playing with the front rest to fine tune the shots.

Forgot to mention I did get a new rear bag, Protektor condura mid ears.

Will glue little level to the rest. But I did level the setup before shooting.

Yea but you shouldn't be pulling with a 284
There's very little kick .
Are you loading
What are you loading
what is the local weather like
How far do you normally shoot
If it is factory ammo ?? Then your in the
What are you using for a rifle
Are you using one hand on trigger and
Other hand stabalizing rear bag

Try and shoot it like the 22
And don't remove your eye from the scope
Look for the shot in the scope don't pull your eye
Away stay on target till well after the shot
Also how many cold bore groups and how thick is your barrel

If you're unsure if it's the gun or you it's likely you. You idea is 100% sound, find a BR shooter and they'll help you out. I spent an afternoon working up loads for a rifle with a BR guy next to me and learned more chatting to him than putting 1000 rounds down range.
