under 100Meters (red dot or eaotech)
out to 300 Meters (1-4 prefer illumintated reticle so it can work like a red dot for cqb work)
longer range 3-15.
Buy the very best you can afford

grain all depends on your rifle twist, if its 1/7 twist you will want heavier grain, if its 1/10 55 grain is what you want.
