Hello...

Well I have missed enough and am frustrated with my aged eyes trying to make clean shots with my '88 Diana 45 T01.

I have decided that I am going to outfit it with a scope, rings - the whole kit!

Please advise:
- what scope / rings you would recommend
- if you have a scope & rings kit you would part with
- any advice in regards

Do PM your information when time permits.

Enjoy a great weekend!

See your trusted Gunsmith. He should be able to fix you up with a set of Weaver Bases with Bottoms fitting the outside Diameter of the Tube. Clean parts with Acetone and Glue the Bases on with a good Metal to Metal Glue.

I would make a Jig to be sure the Bases go exactly on where I want them to be.

Once you have the Bases stuck on good, the rest is easy peasy.

Cheers

The Diana 45, made from 1978-1988, should have an 11mm scope rail (shown in picture below). Use airgun/rimfire dovetail rings. I don't know if there's a divot or indentation in the rail for a recoil stop pin. Lowered from the ring base into the divot (if there is one), such a pin will prevent any movement of the rings due to the springer's recoil. Weaver-style rings are not used on the 11mm scope base.

Make sure any scope you use is "airgun rated". If it's not, there's the risk that the heavy recoil can destroy the scope. Airgun dealers sell scopes that are airgun rated and there are many relatively inexpensive models.
