needing help to identify what bolt is needed for my mauser

good day all,

this is my first post so i hope that this is not a repeat.

I have come into a couple rifles and among them was an interesting rifle but it does not have a bolt.

How can i tell what callaber is the rifle and where i can get a bolt for it.

from what i can tell its a Oviedo Model 1893, there is a Oviedo logo consisting of crown, "Fabrica de Armas Oviedo" and the year of manufacture (1909) on the top of the receiver.


any help will be great. if more info is needed just ask.

Unless it has been altered that rifle was originally in 7x57 Mauser.

I'm sure you've looked it up on Google like I did.
 
Is it a rifle or a a carbine?

Some carbines were converted or built to take 7.62x51 Nato.
 
Is there a place I can buy a bolt on line?
I found a couple companies but they are in the states and they won't ship to Canada.

1) Small Ring M-1893-1896
1.30 in diameter are 8.50 in length, Straight side walled receiver with screw spacing of 7.620.
Small ring have a threaded shank diameter
of .980 in. With 12 threads per inch. These include M-93-96 by Spain, Sweden, Germany. Spanish M-93 bolts have flat bottom, DWM M-95 bolt faces are round. Swedish bolts M-38/94/96 will fit only Swedish. Receiver stripped weight 13.0 Oz.
 
I don't know where you are located, but if you have a big gun show in the area it will be worth a try.

I know here on the Wet Coast the 2-day show in Chilliwack has allowed me to pick up some pretty obscure gun parts.
