Needs a Bear name

I call my thumper what it is "my shortened to 21" barreled Rem 700 LSS in 375RUM" says it all without some goofy pet name = its just a rifle...

I think the OP is referring to Sako's Bear series.

My buddy owns a Black Bear and the fit and finish/magazine are obviously better but the .338 tikka is lighter than his '06 and we both agree has a smoother bolt.

My rifle is basically the same parts as yours; but blued and with a Sako factory front sight. I also prefer the flush magazine

great minds think alike :dancingbanana:

I was going to have the barrel shortened a couple of inches but due to my gunsmith being backed up a few months I decided to leave it alone and do the other work myself, it is already light enough.

^ same here

I intended to get the barrel shortened; but it was my only rifle and I needed it for deer season (yes I know overkill).

After carrying it a lot (mostly in my right hand) in thick brush I've come to the conclusion that it is fine. It's already very light and and as you say "light enough" any loss in weight or velocity is not worth it.

Now I think it needs a med bore companion in wood/blue with a CRF action; that one can have a short barrel and be carried on my back.

I had a teddy bear, his name was Peter, also had another huggy thing named Sammy, my momma recovered Sammy a number of times! You can use either name if you like!

You all are really reading into the title of the thread.

What's important is this excellent idea for add ons to the T3 .338 WM :dancingbanana:
