Neit Arms - Bolt Release & Ambi Mag Release - update 10 Mar

I was at TSE today and they have a few Tac Bolt Releases there... This made me frustrated because I paid the same + shipping to get them from Neit and they are at the post office and it was a holiday and I couldn't get them.

So instead I took a deep breath and played with the 858 they have tricked out with the bolt release. It's pretty cool. I should have mine installed on the 858s tomorrow. Looking forward to trying it out :D

Just finished installing the tac bolt release from NEIT, and an extended mag release from DLASK on both my 858s...

The Tac Bolt Release went in smooth on the first rifle and functioned flawlessly. I love how I can lock the action open without a mag now.

The second rifle was not so easy... Im not sure if its the rifle or maybe the bolt release itself, but it was helish. The 'pin' was too big to fit in the hole. I sanded, sanded, sanded, sanded, finally gave up and started filing, then sanded, sanded filed etc... Finally got it in there. Then it was sticking on rifle pin that holds it in, so back to filing and sanding...

Anyways, it took a bit of effort, but its in there now and it also functions perfectly.

Overall I am super satisfied with the tac bolt release. It is sweet.

There's been some issues with the spec of the lower portion (closest to the base) combined with the variation in spec of the receivers and some require a lot of polishing in this area. We're quickly learning of the variation in variation problems with these rifles and have ordered an modified batch onto the machines that'll hopefully address these issues.

So far we have had a problem with a very small percentage of them, but some is more than none and I think we have a responsibility to make sure we can properly kit out as many of these rifles as requested.

I'm going to get one of those too but I was wondering about the mag release.

Mag releases had some problems at the plant, I've got samples on the way, until they're to me 100% I can't say unfortunately. All I can say is that I've been waiting a long time for these and hopefully I'll have them out to people before the next Zombie Apocalypse.

New mag release samples are in. They will be modified and returned, hopefully this is the last redesign. These things are so close to being perfect. Because of the variation in receivers over the years the tolerances are very hard to track. We want to make sure that there are zero issues with products coming out to market. I ask all on the waiting list for these to be patient and know that I'm making sure that we'll do what we can to have the best product out there.

That being said, we redesigned out Bolt Releases to work across all the variations of VZ receivers. We had a few complaints about fitment on some receivers. Based on the input we received from our customers I stopped production on the follow up orders and had the design reworked. In the first 200 units out the door we had 8 total fail to fit properly due to variation in receiver cut.

These new models are slicker than whale ####. Still heat treated Steel, Milspec parkerizing. These will be the new norm for this model. I am very happy with the final product and I thank all our customers for helping to make it what it is.

We'll have a few more products to release in the next few weeks. We're processing a couple last minute large overseas sales and should be back on track very shortly.
