Just installed the Northeastern Arms Aluminum handguard set with the integral lower picatinny rail. Excellent buy on sale at $145.00, it was really stiff and tight to install the first time. They have loosened up a bit with my playing around with it and feel excellent. Had to use a rubber mallet the first time to nudge them into place. Looks great and feels better. I'm please with my first CZ 858 add on, have more parts coming, FAB black grip, NEA heavy break. Not sure what stock to choose yet or optic.
I bought the previous production version without the large side and bottom holes as I like the integrated lower rail and look of the side slots better. I would have preferred the rails to be black rather than dark grey. Anyone know which paint would be best for spraying these flat black. Would Tremclad be ok, or a huge mistake??
And just a heads up to anyone in the Ottawa area, Thousand Islands area; there is a large gun & Sportsman show coming up in Clayton, New York. August 21 - 22, figure I'll check out the stocks and VZ 58 accessories there. Been years since I was at this show but last time I went it was amazing. Never seen so many gun and gear in one place.
