NELLA C7 Bayonet Question

The book The Black Rifle II by Bartocci has all the barrel lengths in it. Which one did you want? The standard rifles are stated as being 20" and the carbines are 14.5". The other short ones don't take bayonets and the 16" looks a bit wonky with a blade on it.

The 16" carbines take a Colt bayonet with a spacer on it. Only a true Colt collector would have one.

The sleeve on the newer C8A3/FTHB/SFW has two uses. One is so that you can mount the M203 with Diemacos god awful quick detach mount. The other, not so well known use, is to increase the barrel diameter so that a bayonet will fit the barrel properly. I don't know why since only a couple of inches stick out past the barrel.

So in the CF, 20" and 14.5" mount properly. The 15.9" with simon sleeve works too, but barely.

You got THAT right! And the 16s still look a bit wonky with a bayonet...

So what is CSOR doing since they put a different sleeve on it so they can run the OPS can. I heard they just switched over to Surefire.

I honestly don't know, may be able to find out though. I seriously doubt that they're worried about being able to mount a bayonet.
