I got a predator max 1 .204 for christmas. Put a scope on today and sighted in. I took one shot moved the crosshairs to the bullet hole. Then made two three shot groups under an inch. Left the range very happy. Only seven shots and two awesome groups. I always thought it was savage owners hyping up savage because they have one. My bad.
 
I thought they would shoot 1 million shots through the same hole,yours must be ####ed send it back!!

I've owned three savages ( currently a half retarded red headed step son ) and they all shot 1" or better with just about anything they were fed.

If they could combine that accuracy with a bit better fit and finish I don't think any other company could compete at their price point.

i agree, i have a stevens model 200 with a boyds stock and it out shoots most guns ive ever shot, and some of those guns and optics were very high end rifles.
 
Believe it. Here's the first group I fired out of a used Stevens 200 in .223 after sighting it in.
100 yards, bedded action. Lucky group, but still shows off the potential. Most of my groups ended up at .5" or so after that.
