As you can see from my trader rating I have some experience on the EE but recently posted a rifle for sale and got almost no interest. The price I posted was about 300 less then I have put into it, but I know what I put into it doesn't necessarily mean anything to someone else. I don't know if it is just slower in the summer or what, but I was really surprised. What do you guys think I should post this for. I could just keep it but I would really love to free up cash for other purchases as I am really focused on my AR right now.

22" m305 in a blackfeather stock.
magpul AFG
springfield brake
magpul ctr stock and 6 position tube
casm mount
black arrow guide rod
the gun is in great condition, about 200 rounds through it.
Includes 1 5 round mag and 1 5/20

Thanks for the help! I also have a magpul prs I could bundle with it but figured that would price it out of the market.
 
Maybe try parting it out? Or drop your price a lot, a custom sort of build is like a custom car, you can put a whole lot into it but you will never get your money out of it. If you only dropped your price by $300.00 from new you would be asking a lot for a specific build that might only appeal to a few.
 
Yeah, car analogy is a good one. That's my question though, what would you price it as a whole for? Regardless of what I had it listed at, I'm wondering what I should list it at.
 
Part it out !!!

This is your build and even if it's a nice build, it's not the buyer build. The blackfeather itself is 600$, but you'll never get more than 50% of your money on accessories if you sell the gun and accessories together. Even if you put a lot of money in it, new M14 are selling for 429$.

No offense, but it's like putting 4000$ mags and 4000$ spoiler kit on a 14000$ hyundai accent. Nobody will give you the amount of money you spend on this car. Btw I have nothing against hyundai or norinco :). I'm looking to buy a M14 myself, but I'll probably buy a new one.

You could sell :
blackfeather for 475$ shipped
M14 375$ without rod and brake
Mount for 80-90$ shipped
Ctr and extension for 100$ shipped
For the brake and rod, I dont know the price.

Overall around 1200$ with all accessories

Yeah, I know what your saying but I would rather just move the whole gun. 1200 is actually what I had it at. When I said I marked it down about 300 from what I paid I didn't include tax shipping etc, probably closer to 500+ reduction off what I paid. I totally get that its not an investment. The enjoyment of using it was worth the 5-600 bucks :) It may just be timing and I'll put it back up in a month.
 
You've got to part it out or be willing to take the loss.

Like with cars... put $20,000 into a $5,000 car... to the next guy, it's still a $5,000 car (ok, maybe $7,500).
