Just pull on the end. It 'clicks' into a catch on the forend, and it can be pretty stiff.
Pull right near the buttpad for best leverage. To FOLD the stock, you use the button.

I found actually wedging the index finger and thumb between the stock and the forend and then 'pinching' works the best. Glad I could help!

I know it's for the 552 and not the Black Special but there is a great deal of similarity. I could have sworn that I downloaded the Black Special manual from them but for some reason there's no link to it anymore.

I only got a cheap PDF printout for my manual. Needless to say I was a little dissapointed after looking at all the other extras that came with it. You can find a couple different ones online, such as the 551/552 one above, or this 550/551 version here

You can easily find other versions online too, such as the full auto one and the armorers manual.
With the folding stock just give it a good hard pull to open it back up. You won't hurt anything. It only locks in place with the stock in the normal position.
