New 10-22 - Unable to Remove Barrel

Just remember that freezing will only give you the "advantage" of dis-simular metal properties...

Point taken, but the Ruger receiver and barrel are dissimilar metals. One's aluminum, and one's steel.

Ok, I finally managed to get the Barrel off my new 10/22 using the the four hand method. Now that the Barrel is off, is there anything I can do to get it to go back on and off as easy as pie?

Should be OK now. Just clean the opening in the receiver.

And whatever you do BE CAREFUL not to cut yourself on the V notch of the barrel! SHARP!
