New 1000 yard range in BC

i have heard of this range but haven't had a chance to check it out yet, thanks for the link to the website, more motivation to get off my butt and try my hand out at this long range thing

There are many other places to shoot that don't have rules like that. IMO, people like this do not further the larger shooting community.

Unfortunately nothing past 400 yards here other than this private range outside of Lumby. Vernon F&G Club Range still waiting to get 500 yd approval AFAIK, I didn't go to the last meetings.

Don't understand why he doesn't just say "no mag dumps" on semi's, but it's his range.... guess the long range guys don't like a semi going pew pew pew in the next station.

He won't get any business from me but he is obviously going for a niche customer.

I didn’t see the part about military type semi autos? Does anyone know or can chime in and explain?
Does that mean no Ar15s or AR10s?

Is a BAR with lot's of wood considered the military type?
I would depending which one

In my limited 2017 1200x rounds 308 fired experience
Never saw a mag dump at the 200/300M lines

I would take an AR10 shooting a round every 2-3 seconds than a 338 lapua magnum shooting a round every 20 seconds, any time

For liability reasons, he should change that to mandatory eye protection.

As far as firearm restrictions, I totally understand that. I'm not against ANY type of firearm, not against mag dumps or SKS or brass flying, but it's obvious he wants to focus on long range precision rifle shooting. He's probably not going to allow trap shooting either.

I was hoping there was finally a 50bmg range with some legs, pretty disappointed

It's surprising eye protection is only recommended
