New 2010 Taurus .22 pistol

Surf the net and found this new Taurus .22 pistol new in 2010. 4.5" barrel and look pretty neat. Wonder when this kid will land in Canada?

Ooooooo me likey Plus since it's a Taurus you know it's not going to be super expensive as well. Ill wait until they are here and see what other people think of them before I consider it but it sure looks nice.

I saw them on taurus website. I'm not a a huge .22 handgun guy (unless it's compact) but I'd love to play around with one.

Yeah, what IM lugger said. They also have a .22lr top end conversion for the 800 series which I'm guessing is just the top end of this. I think it's a good idea to not only create a .22lr conversion for the 800 series but to also sell the .22 as it's own dedicated pistol. Like what kimber does.

Meh.... the grips and trigger remind me of a cheapie paintball pistol. But I have to admit that if it proved to fit the hand well and shoot well I'd be a total convert. It's hard to see the ugly parts when they are hidden in my fists while shooting... And it's an honest to goodness open hammer gun too. That counts for a lot in my books.

Taurus haven't made any gun that I don't like. Look at their new line of guns, Glock should have learn something from Taurus.

That's the first .22lr pistol I see that doesn't make me want to hurl. Yeah, I have a 22/45 ... but it's not exactly aesthetically pleasing: the Taurus, on the other hand, not only is quite soft on the eyes, but it's probably not going to cost 1200$ like one of the more higher end Sig and Kimber pistols.

I want one.

According to Taurus' new products pdf , there's even a Stainless Steel slide version! Now I really want one.

As long as it proves to be reliable I will be all over this. I'll wait though as I don't want to buy one and have it be a P22 or Mosquito.

Looks interesting for sure, but reliability will be key. The Sig Mosquito "looks" good too.

It won't be cheap like the US folks get them.... by the time it gets to Canada it will be $650 or more.... feel free to bookmark my words.

SIG couldn't do it, Walther couldn't do it... my hopes for the likes of Taurus to pull through are pretty slim. Here's hoping..



(and yes, I know SIG makes a fine .22 in the 226 but I am talking specifically mosquito. Secondly I know SIG didn't make it BUT they did put their name on it)
