well I ordered my new 22 lr (CZ 455 lux bolt action) and it arrived on Friday. Why am I posting this now? because CANPAR said there was no parking at my condo. I call BS because our parking lot is about half the size of a football field!!! and because of work I couldn't pick it up till today. (sorry about the rant -1 for canpar) Anyhoo I bought the Lux sight unseen and I couldn't have been more happy. What a beauty! Very excited. Awesome furniture and the action is smooth as silk. Now I just have to get my but to the range. I'll post pictures tomorrow of the firearm and maybe some range pics after. I had posted earlier asking about everyone's thoughts about the XT22 and the Lux. Thanks for everyone's input. On a side note anyone else thinking of buying a Lux, and you use cleaning rods, Dewey (cleaning rod brand) suggests getting the .20 cal rod as the 22 is too big. also use revolver sized brushes. and the A17 adapter.
Cheers for now fellow enthusiasts!
p.s. already thinking of what to get next.............what a great addiction we have.

what is the difference between the Lux and the American?
besides 40 cheaper.

ive been tossing around the idea of picking up a CZ to try out as ive never handled one but hear rave reviews about them all the time.

Lux has open sights and drop comb stock.

CZ makes fine rimfires.

That's a beautiful Rifle, when I saw the title I googled to read about it, Looks real sweet. Please post some pics whenever possible.

Congrats on your new rifle. The 455 LUX is a perfect hunting carbine, very well balanced for off hand shooting with open sights. You will love it!

yes I will post some pics when I get back into town in about four days. If this gets closed I will start a new thread. see ya'll then.

I just purchased a Lux supermatch recently as well. Fantastic rifle. I decided to make it a 17HMR (bought it as a .22LR), scoped it, put a bi-pod on it, and threw in a yodave trigger kit (highly recommended). It shoots fantastic, a real joy. You won't be disappointed.

i tried to photograph the whole rifle but it came out too dark. meh these are pretty good pics for now. let me know what you think.

:( my supermatch doesn't have any checkering on it... I feel ripped off. Although, I did get a 10 shot steel mag with it...

Very nice, you'll enjoy it. If you ever decide that you want to shoot 22 mag or 17hmr you can always pick up a barrel kit for ~$180 too :D

American has no iron sights and requires a scope. Start out with a scout and shoot the dream and beware of CZ itis. Or a 455 standard.

Kolic1... the mag for this beauty is plastic, but appears very durable. I will be getting some more mags (maybe even a ten shot) if I can find them cheaper somewhere (ha ha I know don't hold my breath). Thanks for the tip about the 17hmr I may purchase that in the near future.
Ronnie01...I did like the American, however I love my iron sights and I preferred the stock on lux. I'm afraid I already have CZitis thanks the firearm above.

The synthetic mag is well excepted and performs well. I have about 10 5 shot mags and they are flawless. The American CZ web site doesn't list steel for a 455 only poly. The rimfire guys at rimfire central forum have good things to say about poly mags.

I have heard good things about the poly mags. I'm going to order a few more for sure. Now just to search around for prices......
