Hot damn, just had to brag.
Just picked up a Mauser DSM 34 .22 military trainer today.
Never really thought I'd run across one here. Knew that if I ever did, I wouldn't be able to afford it anyways.
Booked the day off since it was supposed to be nice and was surfing the web this morning. Saw the gun advertized on a gun store web sight, called to make sure it was still there, and drove the 2 hours to get it.
And it was dirt cheap. Well, maybe not dirt cheap, but still a great deal.

That Isreali trainer from Epps?
I've already got one of the Isreali conversions.
Although I've talked to Epps about one of the .22 trainers they show on the web site. It sounds like one of the "built as .22" trainers, not a conversion but it's been seriously screwed with - cut stock and target sights. I'd like to get up to see it but it's too much money in that condition.

One like this. I'll try to get pictures.

22 Trainers

Nice trainer.
A good start to a 22-trainer collection if you want to peruse it.
You will get what you want if you aren't in a rush collecting is a patience thing. It took seven years to get a M-1922 M2 Springfield in mint condition, and it finally came my way.
Do your research and know what you are looking for and the going price. When the time comes you will not have to hesitate you will know.
I have two of the FN Mauser trainers. Both built as 22's not the conversions, and built on the 98 actions. They don't have the stripper clip guide milled out, or the notch cut out on the left side of the receiver. I found information in the Mauser rifle book that stated there were 1,000 built for Belgium and another 1,000 for Israel with the Israeli crest on them.

I am working on the conversion model, as it will be considered an historical piece in the years to come. I have approximately 12 or 14, 22 trainers at the moment and they seem grow on you.
I have Enfields, Martinis, BSA’s, Mausers, Cooeys, Springfield and a couple of others.

Keep looking,

Albayo

I have one of the ES350B single shot models. The repeaters had an MS prefix I beleive. Mine was built for international competition(circa 1930ish)
Slash5's Mauser 34 was designed for within Germany Competition, as local Germanic Comp's were designed with a military mission in mind. Hence his is as close a copy to a general issue K98, and of course in 22 LR. It was a good idea, at the time as just before the war, about 250,000 Germans were in uniform.

Congrats again Slash5, that is a relatively rare find in Canada.
