New 260 build - DONE!!!!

I know a US Shooter that was using Varget with great results in his 6.5-08 which is dimensionally the same as the 260.

He was not getting blazing speeds but IIRC he was in the low 2800's with a 30" tube.

I believe varget is some what faster burning powder then H4831, H4350 and even some of Reloader like RL22 or RL19, it may work better for shorter barrel, something in 20" 260rem.
That be great if you have or can get additional info on that.

jv, if this is the barrel I used to own, it is a Gaillard. Very nice barrels indeed.

I prefer H4831SC in the 260 and improved variants as it fills the cases much more. That seems to help with LR performance.

You are off to a great start. H4350 would be a very nice option for the lighter bullets.

Obviously, Varget is no slouch either.

Will get you some numbers shortly on the Berger 120's.
