New 28 Ga. Web Site

But I do like the 28 gauge and the new forum. Now if only I could get 28 gauge slugs, a 28 gauge 870 Express, a short barrel, Surefire forend and ghost rings that would fit. ;)
Well, I have round balls and matching wads, you can buy a ghost ring and Surefire forend, and I can loan ya a hacksaw?:D

I know nothing about 28 gauge and am curious? Is there really that much room between a 20 gauge and a .410 that there is really a need for 28 that could not be accomplished
with say a light 20? I bet they would be just about perfect for small game at longer ranges than .410? I may have answered my own question. How are they to find shells for?

The 28's I shoot get handloads, and yes, there is room for a 28 gauge between the 20 and 410.
A true 28 guage framed gun is very light, but most are made on 20 gauge frames.
The gauge seems to be the best there is for a 3/4oz. load of shot BTW, so that is where most of the data is available for.
You can go down to 5/8 or up to a full 1 once if you choose however.
I keep mine at 3/4 and 7/8 oz.
