X2 on the nice piece.
Where ever did you find and if it was M/O , did you have to pay extra for the sweet looking tiger stripes?
Rob.
ps, actually none of my business what you ahd to pay, just wondering if it came that way or you cherry picked that fine looking autoloader.
Never Forget the Sacrifices of the Many for our Freedoms Today.
The Remington target shotguns frequently come with nice wood than average although the one pictured is nicer than most. I've owned three with nice wood including my current 28 gauge Remington 1100 Skeet.
Anyone thinking about buying one particularly from a large dealer should ask to see all the ones he has. I did this years ago when I bought an 1100 Sporting Clays from Lovett's in Kitchener, looked at half a dozen and found one with spectacular wood.
Very nice! I've been on the fence about picking up a new 1100 Sporting for a while. They always seem to have nice wood on them. Yours does look extra nice though! Enjoy!
Thad, welcome to the 28 gauge club.I am sure this will not be your last 28 gauge.Once you use it and find out what a great gauge the 28 is you will want more.
Among the 28 gauges I own is a Remington Model 1100.Great working shotgun.
If you are looking for more info on the 28 gauge check out the links below.
I have one with wood that would equal what you have only the finish is a little lighter in color, mine is choked for skeet only, they are a lovely upland game gun.

Just thinking that your 28 gauge could be one of the earlier 28 gauge Remingtons that had mahogney stocks and forends. These stocks were lighter in colour than the walnut stocks.
