Help be decide on a new pistol. And why.
Option 1 Sig Sauer 1911 Max in 9mm
Option 2 CZ shadow 2
Last year I used my Sig STX 1911 45

Of the two you listed I would choose the S2.

Currently using a PPQ M2 5” for 3 Gun, but have decided to switch to my S2 for both IPSC and 3 Gun this year, that is until I can get my hands on the new PPQ SF Match Pro. Think the heavier frame striker fire PPQ SF Match is going to be my ideal HG in 3G.

shadow 2 get cracked frames, cz has now redesigned the frames like the cz shadow 1 where only the slide stop breaks. If you get the shadow 2 get a couple if you plan to shoot them a lot.

Although I'm a 1911 fan I say go with the cz, if you ever end up shooting state side it's easy enough to find standard capacity mags for down there.

Exactly what DA problem are you talking about? Bit of seat time behind the trigger would most likely resolve this problem you speak of.

I have both. I think you will love the Max 1911 in 9 mm more if you reload your own.
It just have 50% less recoil and great sight. Shoot really well in speed shooting.
Yes, you will need to do a trigger job for the gun. But it came with all the good parts, so just need the smith to lower the pull weight.

With all parts no change, it is easy to get down to 2.7 lbs. If you like you can change out the series 80 parts and easily have the trigger down to sub 2 lbs.
