Have read about the SBE 3 guns being set at 60/40.I asked them to set the gun at 50/50.They said they would do that.As to the left shooting,cannot say I know any thing about that.
I believe you have one of these guns,warzaw.Am I right on that, or am I thinking of some one else?
Someone else my three inch is a Fair Eside sxs. I never shot the Benelli products very well and do not own any but that's a me thing. I am halfway through a 870 LW 3 inch conversion waiting on a reamer. That will be my next 3in chambered gun i will probably call it quits after that one. The rest of my 28guns are safe at 2 3/4 inch . Enjoy your new toy the 3in does well with steel I believe that is the reason the 3in came into being.

point and shoot it at 25 paces aim centre and see where the majority of pellets hit
i personally use Gino's extra large pizza boxes to capture the spread. i did this when
i bought my girsan mc-312 and it shoots pretty much centre using #5 and #6 shot.

Okay it was some one else.28 gauge 3 inch Model 870 would be cool.

What did that Bismuth cost you? And you better grab all you can while you can because there is virtually no new Bismuth shot to be had since China has quit exporting it and the democrat administration shut down mining of it in the US years ago.

you're all rigged up to do some duck hunting with a 28 gauge! At least as long as your ammo supply lasts. Presumably something you haven't been able to do since the lead shot ban?Well I have just joined the 3 inch 28 gauge club.Bought on line yesterday, a SBE 3 Benelli 3 inch 28 gauge gun.Be awhile before I get it,but it is on its way.

That is right.I have not bagged a duck with a 28 gauge since lead was banned.I believe you have used your 28 gauge to bag some ducks with though.

Yes indeed - though my supply of decent duck rounds is now mostly depleted. My 28 gauge guns aren't chambered for 3", and I haven't found any decent factory rounds for ducks in 2.75"That is right.I have not bagged a duck with a 28 gauge since lead was banned.I believe you have used your 28 gauge to bag some ducks with though.
Interestingly, it's getting increasingly difficult to find 12 gauge duck rounds (#3 or #4 shot) in 2.75" Everybody seems to think 3" is needed for ducks! My shoulder and head do not need 3"
Have shot ducks with my 28 Beretta not many but did. Now sold as it just did not work for me but alas the Franchi O/U 28 in 3" showed up.Still have not done my 2 3/4 to 3" test in 28g just have been out of town .Will get to it but congrats to you 28 gauge 2 on your new acquisition.
True about the duck gun use.Many now seem to be using the 3 1/2 inch shells as well.

As much as I like my 28 gauge for upland hunting, if I think that I need a 3" load, I will just use a 20 or 12 gauge. The manufacturers aren't going to offer a large variety of 28 gauge waterfowl loads, because the demand is small. And the price will always be much higher for 28 gauge, which adds up for waterfowl, where I shoot a lot more volume than for upland birds. As for the people shooting 3-1/2" loads for waterfowl, they also seem to shoot a lot more, and take home less birds, they would be better served, to spend some time and money shooting skeet or sporting clays, to improve their shooting skills.
