Before you get all excited, this is a new-to-me featherweight, not one of the new models, LOL. Sorry to get your hopes up. It should arrive in Thunder Bay next Thursday according to Canada Post, just in time to try for moose. I'll get some pics up once she gets here. Can't wait to shoot 'er. Anyone else have one of the old featherweights?

Congrats on your purchase. You obviously have fine taste in rifles and the .30-06 is a decent cartridge choice for moose :) You mentioned it's not a newer one so I have to ask if it is a pre-64 or an older post-64 pushfeed model?
 
It's a post-'64 push feed. It's coming to Kenora with me for deer. Hopefully I can break it in on one of the bruisers we saw last year after all of our bucks were hanging. I won't have time for moose in the early season, but I aim to get out on snowshoes for the last five or six days of the season once I get all of my marking done and research shut down for the year. Nothing like being out after moose on freezing mornings with fresh powder and bright sunshine :)!

Rifle gets here on Thursday!
