I have always been a more traditional firearms guy. So when it came to a new firearm this year I mean NEW never out of the box rifle I wanted wood and blue. I spent some time online researching rifles. I watched many youtube videos by so called experts. Then I checked the online pages of Winnipeg's two main "outfitters". Then I spent 1 1/2 hours waiting for my number to be called. When I finally got to the counter I was surprised that they had my choice in stock. After a few minutes fondling it I completed the deal. I knew the scope sold with it was kaka but I had a better scope waiting at home. I noticed one small flaw that being the sticky magazine. I am finding it releasing better as time goes on. I took it out to the range shortly after to sight in the scope. It felt good, shot great , all in all a nice rifle. I must give this rifle a 8 out of ten. For the price it is great. So I am putting in a vote for the new Mossberg Patriot rifle. It has many good features. Mine has a very nice walnut stock and blue barrel. Now I know it not a Weatherby or Sako but it suits me fine. I hope to take a nice venison freezer filler with it this year and many to come.
