Just wondering if anyone has one or has shot one of these new caliber rifles yet? Looks kind of interesting. Would like to see the ballistics. Heard at the local gun shop they can get the gun but no ammo??

I have a Winchester 325WSM. Nice shooting rifle. Get a little under 2800fps with 220gr Sierras. I reload so ammo isn't an issue, as it does seem to be pretty scarce in the factory forms.

Check out netrifle.com and go to the short mag area. Lots of discussion and info on the .325. Its what helped sell me on a new Kimber Montana in .325. Ballistics almost mimic the 8mm Rem Mag,

Ive shot one, an Abolt stalker w/ BOSS. it was ok, the rifle doesnt do much for me but the cartridge is fine. I handload for a guy who shoots one, and he tipped over a 53" bull moose with it with a 180 gr Barnes triple shock x

Personally Id rather have a 300 WSM, or a 338 win mag

Think it will stick?

You know my 2 cents on this is that it won't. Looking at the ballistics, there is nothing special here. I shoot a 300 win mag and will probably buy the 300 wsm just for the shorter bolt, I think it will perform or maybe out perform the 325 and be alot easier to find brass and the like. It is always kind of cool to see new calibers but they have to be practical and a little different for some unique reason, 17 rem, 204 that sort of thing. I don't think this will be in very many gun-rooms.

The 325 is one of those cartridges that are so boringly adequate that they ought to excel, but don't have the glitz to take off. I forsee it sharing the same fate as the 338 federal, 358 winchester, 8mm rem and the like. Perfectly useful, but a little too esoteric to catch on.

My thoughts exactly prosper.I predict that ammo wont be on shelves long before discontinued. So if you buy a 325WSM better stock up on ammo.

haha...

do you realize you can still get ammo for 264 Win Mag, 307 winchester, 350 rem mag...

the 325 wsm isnt going to to be obsolete any time soon...

mid way between a .338-06 and a .338mag in power & balistics. should be a very effective cartridge. but if I want to handload I'll go with the .338-06 and If I want to buy factory ammo, I'd buy a .338mag.
