New 3D printed cans from ODL

He has had a correct meter for a little while now , BK 2209 , and has the calibration gear etc as well , and it was adjusted on site for altitude & humidity etc , the numbers are 170.9Db for 2 shot av with 2 port brake on , and 133.4 Db for 10 shot av , also done as per mil-spec , 1.6m high x 1m left etc .
Internal design is very complex & a far cry from his simple Reflex copies .
So in short , the right meter was used & calibrated on site , and done to mil-spec standards , so it has been done correctly .
Me I was just the dumb shooter on this .
RE : more AI rifle goodness , will have to wait till I get home to do that .

DONOT Laugh , BUT believe it or NOT , in Australia crossbows are serial numbered & licenced , not sure about bows , and in UK , broadheads on arrows are illegal .

Yeah , there are 2 cans/suppressors in the photo , both made by BT in Switzerland for the AI AW , one short for normal use on the threaded tac AI brake , & one for the AI 16 inche 1-9 twist fully suppressed barrel ( long one ) .

YES & NO ,
Maybe the OLD 10-12 inche fully suppressed barrels & cans , this is however the newer 16.2 inche barrel , and the suppressor looks to me like its a combo of steel ( tube & barrel nut ) , with tube painted in a black colour and SS internal baffles , and it weighs a TON , so this can is NOT aluminium like the very 1st cans made for the 1st AW models back in the early 90s .
The newer type , ie 16 inche barrel is marketed by AI as more of a multirole item , capable of using full supersonic & subsonic ammo , the older original 10-12 inche model was the true COVERT model , solely for subsonic use , if that makes any sense .

Me , I wish they used a 1-7 or 1-8 , and made it around 12 inche long for subsonic ONLY application .

Lapua make a 200gr subsonic bullet/ammo , handloaders have used a 208gr Amax in these 1-9 AI barrels with trailboss powder , I would not want to go much heavier in weight with this twist however .

Just heard , the new reinforced 30cal can & the new 338LM can have just been finished & are going to get coated on Friday this week , the size of the bigger 338 can is 44mm dia x 233mm long and 265gms in weight , I look forward to running them on my 308,300WM & 338LM rifles soon .
