The boolit lube has nothing to do with ``pressing`` it into the casing! It has everything to do with lubricating the slug as it leaves the barrel!! Without it the bbl will lead and you will get no accuracy and a major headache cleaning after the fact. If you are new to shooting cast , I would sugest that you start by slugging your bore then sizing your cast boolits to1 -2 thou over groove diameter. Cast pressures are lower and velocity higher than with full length condom bullets,so you will need to adjust your loads acordingly! What cal. are you wanting to load / cast for? By the sounds of it lube all over the boolit , it would be a safe bet that and the fact that you have slugs that are coated with Lee liquid alox ( Mule snot ) or something similar. I would suspect that after a while this will give you fits! It will build up inside of your seating die giving you short seating depth, this is something that you will want to watch as it can in some cases cause your pressures to go thru the roof. The best advice I could give to a noob to casting and or shooting cast is check out the ( Cast Boolits ), website as there is a wealth of info on just this subject and a bunch of guy's that want nothing more than to promote the silver stream. PM me if you have any questions.
