New 7.62x39 VZ58 Polymer mags

These do looking interesting. Ill have to pick up a couple when they're available and see how they work. Was anyone able to order them successfully or is this still at the drawing board phase?

The manufacturer never went into full production, there was not enough interest in Czech Republic "European Economic Crisis"

They had a working prototype but it was made out of AK mag body already in production. Where it got impossible was the fact that new magazine required new casting mould to be done. The mould was basically too expensive and the market too small too make prices reasonable without either Czech or Slovak Army ordering few thousands. The new Bren gun basically killed the idea. Czech or Slovak army will not do anymore upgrades on VZ 58 it is done as weapon platform for both armies

I no longer have the will to live. :D lol

May I ask what magazine body they were using? How hard would it be to chop the tops off our magazines and superglue them to AK polymer magazine bodies? Has anyone tried this before?

Since I'm not going into combat ,the stock aluminum one are good enough for the range. I was never a big fan of plastic but my Glock mags have never let me down. To each his own. I wish they would make an RPK belt feed type mod for the 858. You would just have to pull out the round between every 5 rounds .:)
