I just received my rifle back from Ron Smith, he rebored a Stainless Rem 700 and cut and crowned the barrel to 20", it weighs 7lb 14oz. I was kind of aiming at 7.5lbs, I still need to finish the stock so I can still hog out some wood, I have 2 other stocks on the shelf. 1 would make it 7.5 and the other just under 7 but I'm really liking the look and feel of the laminate.
