Looks interesting, particularly given that everything is going polymer, and the frame on this one is steel. Nice low bore axis and a 4.3" barrel. Looking forward to reading some impressions from Shot Show. http://www.hudsonmfg.com

Yes at that price it will be challenging to compete with the majors, unless it is exceptional quality etc. Still, I kind of want one because it is unique.

I like that it is all steel and that it appears to have a striker mechanism instead of a hammer. But it does look too heavy and its ergo seems to be the same as it was back in 1911

Over weight with average capacity. Thicker than most other autos and is completely incapable of mounting a light that the user can actually reach, which also means holster design/size is going to be huge. Of course it's also grossly over priced.

Ya with a low bore axis and 34 ounces unloaded, I would hope it will be a good shooter, if nothing else.

Being a striker fired gun I have my doubts. Have yet to experience a striker fired gun that is on par with a nice SAO hammer fired gun.

Well the next time you are in town, I'm taking you out to shoot this bad boy. You'll change your tune, lol.

I have never seen, let alone held or fired one of those. Very unique piece. And I accept your very kind offer!

I have however read about them, so I assume you're joking.

Apex kit in a M&P gets you pretty darn close.

M

Never shot an APEX M&P, but have shot an APEX Glock 17. Good improvement but still nowhere close to a Sig X5L1, Pardini GT-9, or S&W 52. Im going on the assumption the APEX kit feels similar in both.

Don't get me wrong, I hope this new pistol is a success for the developers. I just think the features incorporated at that price point will be a tough sell. Then again with new G17's selling for four figures some places I may be completely out to lunch; wouldn't be the first time and probably won't be the last.

Yes totally joking (About changing your tune, that is. You would of course be welcome to try it). The trigger is as interesting as they say. Funny enough though, I was out with another CGNer and he was able to achieve a palm sized group at 25 metres. A feat I can't match.

Based on what I have shot, I would agreed with you. Not much comes close to a properly adjusted Pardini, Sig level 1, or a 52.

The trigger looks like a BBQ starter. Never heard of Hudson. Will need a range and reliability report before I'd commit.

At least the design looks unique.

Nice VP70 gdawg! Haven't shot one of these since when they held 18 rounds!

Thanks! I doesn't offer the most refined shooting experience as you know, but very cool for what it was imo. Would love to shoot that one on EE with the shoulder stock.

Palm sized group at 25m is a good day for me with a great trigger centrefire let alone one that is "interesting". Whoever you shot with needs to give me some pointers.

How's the trigger on that DW Bruin in the 10mm thread?
