New Acquisition....WOW!! Pics [and groups POST 26] added.

So, I bought a Vanguard on the EE here from a fellow Gunnut. It arrived in the mail today.
The deal was exemplary in every way. Good price and a very fine fellow to deal with.

It is a Cabela's Lazerguard in 30-06. This is one gorgeous rifle. Built on the S2 platform.

The metal is very high gloss, deep, dark blue, and the wood has a lfair amount of figure in it.

This rifle has obviously never been fired outside of factory tests. Virtually perfect in every respect.

As an S2, it will certainly shoot, so it is a win-win situation for me. [Pics later]

Looks like my other, plainer S2 Vanguard in 30-06 will now be looking for a new home. lol.

Mr. Leeper is responsible for a lot of fine shooting and superbly built rifles.
My latest is a '51 vintage Mod. 70 in 256 Newton, just can't wait for a day at the range..

It is a Limited run of S2's for Cabela's, and sold out of their stores only.

The stock is a true Lazer(mark), but fitted for the Vanguard instead of the Mark 5 action, thus the Lazer(guard) name.

I have no intention of getting rid of any of my 308 Norma Mags [I have 3, lol]

Enough components, IMR 7828 & Norma MRP to feed them for a long time.
