alright folks range report. some of this is a copy and paste from the re loading section.

first off, the brake is loud, it hurts everything when the gun goes off and bothers people 30 feet away, rattles the metal roof in the outdoor range, but the stability is amazing. the gun doesnt recoil anywhere as bad as it used to. its quite the pleasure to shoot now and the barrel stays planted when i shoot and doesnt jump and land a half foot away like it used to.

i was trying out some hand loads today for the first time, the best being 54ish grain with 178 gr amax bullets.

i made it home alive, it was a little nerve racking shooting with a new muzzle brake on and with hand loads. they all went boom. the ligthest load shot about 3/4 inch at 100 yards, as the powder went up in weight they started to open up all the way to what looked like 1.5 inches, but as i reached the max load they tightened right up. at 100 yards the tightest group looked to be between 1/2 and 3/4 inch at 100 yards. that being said before id be able to shoot about a 1 inch group with factory ammo through this gun so its an improvement and once i get used to the gun again im sure i can tighten them up quite a bit more. this was also the first time with the muzzle brake which made a big difference in itself, i buried 4 factory loaded federal rounds at 60 yards at just over a half inch. i didnt bring my vernier with me to get an accurate measurement but the groups were significantly tighter than theyve ever been.

the brake made a big improvement in the way the gun shoots, it was knocking paper off the table 3 tables away and it feels like youre getting punched in the chest if you arent the one controlling the gun. i love it. the guys 30 feet away looked at me each time i shot it, and thats too bad, but this thing is just a joy to shoot now
