A good friend and mentor of mine passed away about 18 months ago. He had a large collection and had left no will. It took a long time, but the courts finally made his daughter executor of his estate. The CFO worked with her and finally she is able to sell his firearms. This particular piece has a bit of story to it and I am glad to have acquired it as a remembrance of him.

It is a S&W model 19-5. This is my first nickel plated firearm.

I don't know what it is about model 19's, but I sure like 'em

They are from a G21. I just sanded off the sharp corners.

Ok. I think it's the photography, but the colour matches with the frame. Or does it? I just sanded my lone wolf mag release and it looks fugly.

Yes, they are the same colour as the frame. Those two Glocks are 24 and 22 year old second gen guns. I just trimmed and then sanded the extended mag releases smooth with a very fine sandpaper.

I used 600 grit wet/dry and it's very gray-ish. Nice revolver by the way, but I like your glocks better.

I imagine 20 some odd years of use has helped polish them up a bit too!

Beauty. Those 2.5" 19s and 66s are my favourite K frames. Would love to shoot one one day.
