New Ammo Now in Stock 7.62x54 and 7.62x25 Non-Corrosive

They got back to me today. I was offered a $50 in store credit.

That seems pretty lame of them to me. I would expect to be able to return the defective/misrepresented product (at the seller's expense) for a full refund. You shouldn't have to keep a product you didn't order or be out of pocket to return it. Another example of why Canada needs decent comsumer protection legislation.

edit

I do feel a little bit for the company. I'm sure they sold it as non corrosive in good faith. Maybe Norinco is refusing to stand behind their product. Even if that's the case though I think it's Canada Ammo's place to make things right for their customers.

In my case it did not. I tested it before using any. However I purchased non corrosive and don't want this corrosive ammo. And the credit has to be used in store, so I have to buy more product from them. And to avoid $50 in shipping costs, I need to spend over $200, so they turn more profit from me. The ammo is now available on their website at a reduced price. Not the best solution for me, but Its better than nothing.

How much do you want for it? im sure there are people on here, including myself, that are looking to pick up some ammo.

I am on the fence. 54r is not super common and yes Im pissed they sold me corrosive when I only wanted non -corrosive. They sold in good faith and Norinco really is to blame. At least my 4 crates of white box 39 are non-corrosive!! I am sure I will purchase more ammo at some point.

I would rather a refund but no company offers there deals so I can forgive.

Thanks for at least stepping up!

Andrew

Whoa wait a minute, how did the step up? One guy got $50 credit while everyone else got the shaft? Please explain?

I emailed them with a photo of the nail test. Try that and see what they say.

I emailed back and forth many times with rusty nail pics and then never heard back. My SVT and Mosin barrels were rusted bad. I spent about an hour scrubbing them with a bronze brush/ boiling water/ windex and a whole bag of patches. Put the once shiny bores away and don't even want to look down the black sewer pipe barrels.

I got the same email for a $50 in store credit. I guess that is what I mean about stepping up. Dont get me wrong as I did not want corrisive ammo. I would certainly prefer a $50 refund. I guess I was putting my self in there shoes.

They have also had good service and everyone makes mistakes.

I guess my issue is I ended up with two rusty barrels and was still requested to do the nail test so I went out bought nails took bullets apart performed the test took pics sent multiple emails and then nothing. Hours wasted. After all that $50 credit(which i didnt get)is an insult.

Hello Outwest1213,

Sorry that you feel that you haven't been taken care of. Unfortunately I am not sure which customer you are by your handle here alone so I can't help much further than to say to please shoot me an email directly at paul@canadaammo.com and I'll get you taken care of right away, as I've responded to every customer email that's come to me or forwarded to me, so if you were missed somewhere along the way, I apologize.

More than happy to help, just gotta give me a chance! Shoot me an email, we'll look after you, and that goes for anyone that reads this thread and feels that their issue on this has not yet been taken care of, if there are any others (hopefully not).

Thank you.

If a customer ultimately does not want to keep it, we understand. The general consensus we have received is most would keep it and still use it but now have knowledge of it being corrosive and so we give them a credit for the price difference for the price drop that reflects the new corrosive ammo pricing (although not all it may be corrosive, we don't know).

We give a credit on the same general consensus that most people will shop again with us in the future, and many in the near future, so they can just use those funds towards the next order. No biggie and easy for everyone.

But, we are here for our customers, as we've stated time and time again, and happy to help how we can within reason, given the opportunity, so if a customer ultimately wants to return it, we can look into that option and figure something out.

Just gotta email me at paul@canadaammo.com and we'll go from there!

Thank you.

How do we get the $50 credit? I'm not sure when/if I will order from canada ammo, but if it's just tied to the email or something it would be nice to know its there. Or will we be issued rebate numbers? I didn't plan on making any new orders for a while, as there's not much I'm looking for(except non corrosive 54r)

Has this been addressed? How will those who were part a group buy, but did not initiate or accept the complete order, be compensated?

I'm not sure. I sent them a picture showing I had bought and tested it and it showed to be corrosive. He offered me $50 credit. I only kept one case, and ther others I talked to said theirs was non corrosive. I guess I was the "lucky" one to get corrosive. I was considering the sks and 1200 rounds of non corrosive ammo for $399, or $349 with my credit. But I didn't jump on it and it sold out.

Ditto on the group buy question.

Though in the end I'd be happy to see the honcho of my group buy attain some satisfaction himself, if nothing else.
