New AMP Reloading Press with distance and load sensors

I'm sorry, but wet tumbling works. Combined with. 002" neck tension with a bushing yields excellent results.

Above is a large sample size for .308win and 185gr Juggernaughts. Don't discount tried and true procedures just because of a few internet keyboard warriors.

Marty, how about posting your results? And show us your differences.

I get every bit as good results as that with just dry tumbling.

~3-4 SD over large strings of fire (30+) with 6BRA.

No wet tumbling, no turning necks, regular FL bushing sizer, I don't even clean, trim or deburr flash holes.

My reloading process is very simple, and works very, very well. Glad that what you are doing is working for you, but it's not the only way to see the results you are seeing.

What's the concern with dirty brass in the AMP? Inconsistent results? (When I say "dirty" I don't mean picked up out of the mud, I mean taken from ammo box, shot and then replaced in box) :)

Probably doesn't hurt anything but it does leave a carbon residue below the pilot by the induction windings, I'd just rather not have this happen :)

and if I sonic clean the primer pockets are also clean saving me the anguish of cleaning them.

Dirty brass doesn't affect the annealing process, this is clearly mentioned in the operator's manual. However, dirt, carbon residue, etc will fall into the induction well, it is described in the manual how to clean the ceramic insulator.

Same applies to trimmed/untrimmed cases as well, manual says this won't change the code allocation...

Primal Rights has a vid out with some interesting results for what he tried with it, very different graph on his test. His main point is, it seems to be worth exploring the ways to gauge the depth of bullet in the process vs neck grip in the seating process to make it consistent thru the entire seating push, which he thinks may help with troubleshooting. F-Class John's vid with dinged case mouth is another one that makes a guy #### an eyebrow.
