I'm brand new to this whole forum thing. I joined to try to learn some things about shooting sports, and to possibly buy and sell a few guns.

I have a new post in the EE for pistols (Omega 10mm), but couldn't post any pictures. What gives? Do I have to be a member for xx months before I get to post a picture of t=what I'm trying to sell?

Other than that, it looks like a great place with a wealth of knowledge across a lot of topics. Looking forward to hanging around a bit more.

Now, if I could just get that picture thing figured out............

:D

Right on. Thanks guys. I'm loading up the new Photobucket account as we speak.

Don't forget to check out my Gun for sale so I can feed my new habit!!

Just a heads up, being the seller and being new with no posts and no trader rating might turn a lot of people off.

I gotta start somewhere!!! I haven't pulled the trigger on anything other that a hunting rifle in about 10 years. I want to go to a more basic gun that I can build from the ground up, and I have a whole set-up ready to sell here to get what I need. I'll have to take my risks, but there's not much I can do about being new to the forums.

I plan on it. I'm looking to get into a Glock 22, and give IPSC another shot. I noticed there isn't an IDPA chapter in Regina, let a lone Saskatchewan, so I'll be revisiting IPSC after a very long lapse in membership. Can't wait to get out to the range again.

There ya go!!!!!!!!!

You're from Regina, that splains everything!

First you have to post a bikini shot of your wife/GF/SO with a gun (finger OFF the trigger) in the "Girls with guns" thread before you can post pictures in EE. Read the rules under "Posting Pics for Noobies from Regina FAQ".

Welcome to CGN, you will figure it out very quickly. If you're hanging around in EE, you better get an increase on your line of credit, U gunna need it...

True, but starting by posting in the regular forums would build up some credibility. Also, you should start building up your trader rating by buying something on here, rather than selling, because there is no risk to the seller in that situation.

All I am saying is that sure, you might sell that handgun now, but you would have a better chance of selling it later when you have proven that you are trustworthy.

I do know another member that has been around for quite some time. Tenne is my uncle, and could certainly vouch for my credibility. He actually had the gun built for me. Send him a message and he'll let you know what I'm all about.

As a newcomer, trying to sell on-line, just be prepared to exchange home phone numbers and addresses with anyone you may wish to deal with.
And follow-up with a phone call before any exchanges take place.
I always work that way myself.
There is a good sticky on the exchange to help you avoid problems.
Welcome and good luck in your dealings.
