New AR - Questions on Optics and Best Load

Buy her an AR 15 of her own! My wife owned one before I did. I was quite content with my Mini 14 until I shot her AR 15. Now I have one of my own, a duplicate of hers, save for the Muddy Girl camo.
She was quite content with her Ruger SR9's until I let her shoot one of my 1911's. Now she owns three of her own. She also pre-empted my Marlin .357 and Browning '92 carbines.
It's great having a shooting wife - but expensive.

As for the wife, women won't ever be able to understand the relationship we have with our guns. My girlfriend at least doesn't.

Thanks shred! I took a look at some of the VISMs and do like the PEPR mount. One thought, and call this my over thinking, is that while I'm buying an optic for the AR, I'm thinking that I want the flexibility to move it to my heavier calibre rifles at a later date. If I like 3 gun, my AR may end up only with a red dot, holo sight or a 1-4.

How do you find the cheek weld with the PEPR? Was kinda shocked at the cost of some of the high, cantilever mounts out there.

The mount sits the scope at roughly the same height as the standard carry handle sight, so it's really a "normal" cheekweld on the PEPR.
