Well you AR180B users can rest easy as the solution to the ####ty handguards has finally arrived. Mid West Industries has finished their rail forend for the AR180B. It attaches with "minor gunsmithing" to the stock location. The top opens to maintain the gas system.

wow - this is a pretty sweet development -

my O.D green machine laser infested AR-180B will see the light of day! Rodents beware!

So what should I know about ordering goodies that attach to this thing?

certain spec mount? - I am not familar with anything not weaver or picatinny...

I''ll probably want to order some of those clip on hand guards as well

I was told that the "minor gunsmitthing" is trimming off some of the spring guide rod that extends out the front of the receiver. Nothing serious.
 
check out my hacked rifle pics - I have the full length stormwerkz mount... and was wondering the same thing

Also Troy from midwest says he won;t ship to Canada and said to talk to DPMS.

??? maybe he is just being a nice guy to Armedsask with those price comments....

I imagine that you keep the rear sights?

Will they offer a Flattop kit to replace the rear sights and will a standard rail (custom cur) simplt attach to the existing upper to consinue the rail with the forearms.

This is great NON RESTRICTED rifle kit. :D

Lets see, accuracy, modular, aluminium receivers and not #### plastic, better irons, real scope mounts, cheap parts as several dozen nations issue them....just a few reason to buy an AR15.:p
I like the rail...looks well made, it just looks like silly on the 180.
