NEW AR180B rail handguards!!

I sent off an e-mail to Troy at Midwest Industries. I asked about who is distributing in Canada. If no one was, would a group buy would get them to ship to Canada, and I looked into importing some myself.

This is his reply:
Bryce

DPMS is going to distribute these in Canada. Call DUSTIN there and tell him you want to import some .1-320-258-4448

Thanks

If DPMS is the distributor, does that mean TSE will be carrying these? I'll have to give them a call.

I'll tell you what it means for sure... 2 more middlemen which mean more $$ I could swing $200 for these at the US value of $165/75 but I don;t think its worth it anymore with the new logistics. its an inert device they could ship it if they wanted.

Maybe stormwerkz could piggy back a shipment? Troy at midwest fears losing his license shipping to civies in Can... I don;lt know what the laws are but I don;t buy that - hell I could mounht that rail on a robot for all its worth...

Jeeze... the AR-180B is looking more and more attractive. This might be the accessory that finally does it for me.

AR180b, Ace Folding stock and that sweet rail setup. MmmmmmHmmmmmmm! :D

I think I know where my TAX money is going this year ^_^

Lets see, accuracy, modular, aluminium receivers and not #### plastic, better irons, real scope mounts, cheap parts as several dozen nations issue them....just a few reason to buy an AR15.:p
I like the rail...looks well made, it just looks like silly on the 180.
True but can you hunt with your ar-15....I can with my 180b ......:D :D

Greenman - I'm with you!

Might have to see if the Wifey thinks the AR-180B is "cute"... We need another Black rifle in the house, and I just CAN'T spend my money on an AR-15!!

MidWest Industries MCTAR-180-1
Looks like the price went up to $217.50 USD.

Any reports from end users of this tactical handguard?
Do Stormworks scope rails match up to these? It would be nice to have a rail thats level right across the top (BUIS for rear). By the looks of it youll still need your rear sight to line up with the stock Armalite sights.

Armedsask -- did you call DPMS, if not ill give them a shout and see what their deal is for overall pricing...shipping etc.

OK I just talked to Dustin , and he said he is having some problems importing them with the current "restrictions" of the Canadian goverment , I asked what restrictions are those and he said it is a bunch of things they were trying to import , they are being told what they can and cannot bring in . He did not have a price as of yet , but he would take my name and number and call when he finds anything out .

I would say that I was just told in so many words it's going to be a pain for them to import and not worth their while......Dammit!

OK now I have gotten a response from Questar and they say that is no problem to import but there is a increased cost as is outlined on their website...
