New Armseast N8 CQB

When did this become a Gear Whore thread?

It's not , every pic shows an N8 is various modes of dress or is talking about an N8 ...'cept yours...don't derail man. Here is another pic of an N8 top end...this one shows better just how well it mated to a Colt lower. This particular Generation also had a Bayonet lug and I believe that it was a 1/7' twist as well. I also seem to recall an M4 hand guard cap being used. The current gen use a standard carbine cap. Makes no difference and the KAC rails are held on very tight on these uppers will very little slop.

Just ordered an N8 Upper... they are 1/7 now (the specs have changed a little I am told - not reflected yet on their site) :D
I can hardly wait!

oh.. :( I was just about to order the 1/8 N8.

Oh well.

Maybe there is a leftover 1/8 ....discounted.....being old stock and all.

Or a combo deal with a Geissele trigger.....

There's no detriment in going faster (unless you are shooting <40gr bullets) which is why 1/7 seems to be more and more prevalent.

Barrels are back from phosphating and we've been assembling for the past few days. Pics have been taken and will be up very shortly, along new pricing structure.

As G37 said (thanks man, it shipped today!), we have moved (back) to 1/7 for the time being, to mix it up a little.

Also, leaving the vestigial bayo lugs on now, unless directed otherwise.

Finally, we're bringing back the 12.5 MRB for commercial sale, same price as the 10.3" CQB. These are still handy for vehicle use, but extend the frag range, and will mount a M203.

rivetc78, I wish I could help, but the last run is gone gone gone. FWIW, I just got an email from a customer who won a 25-200m match with his 1/7 CQB using 52gn SMKs.

Thanks for all the interest, and if I can add, it's been good to meet so many of you N8 shooters at the ranges around the country these past few months. Watching you shoot, seeing the guns in action, and hearing your stories really makes this all worth it for me.

Cheers,
DT

More Info on the 12.5" MRB please :)

Mid-length? Pics? etc........

Back on the laptop for pics.

MRB (merb around here) on top. 12.5", carbine gas, M203 notch.
CQB on bottom. AKA, the 262 (cause the RCMP lab won't talk inches ;) ).

The on-line store is being set up to include options like 7" or 10" rails, sights, FA/SA bolt carriers, muzzle devices, charging handles, etc.
Prices start at $745.

Dangertree, can you post the specs on the latest N8's?
I'm looking at the barrel (muzzle and chamber) are they no longer chrome lined? (I'm used to seeing that distinct chrome-gray "overspray"; it is steel I'm seeing, correct?)
I guess if the crown was worked on after the fact that would make sense.)

Anyway, curious about steel used and what exactly is 5.56M chamber, if that still applies?

~cheers
