New Arrival: Alex's Homebrew TM22 AR Style Charging Handle Top Cover Assembly GEN 2

I'd caution people considering this modification to be extremely careful.

The aluminum on TM22 is very soft.

Stripped threads from normal careful teardown and reassembly for cleanings are a real possibility.

Please consider you may have to purchase and install helicoils to repair these threads.

This is not a sky is falling warning, contact the manufacturer and refer to their web page for a similar warning.

Good to know. I haven’t taken mine down yet but I’ll be using a light touch and loctite.

Just really really careful to line everything up and not cross thread.the handguard screw is the most prone to be stripped, only has like 3-4 teeth and the factory screw was intentionally long to dig into the barrel nut.
