New Arrival Colt M4 CQB

Some of us live in the middle of suburban Hell, with no real land to shoot Non-Restricted firearms on anyway... so the actual classification doesn't matter AT ALL.

I think I'd actually have to travel farther out to shoot on crown land that meets all of the requirements than my current club/range.

I dont see the point in shooting a "real" .223 5 times before you need to reaload and pay OVER triple the price to do it, when i can shoot this .22 30 times, and cheaper. I'd get it if i was shooting things or people but it we are just punching paper and steel targets then who cares. I just like to go out and have fun.

How about competitive shooting in three gun shoots, carbine shoots, run and guns, target shooting, steel shooting, exc. Plus as someone has already said some people only/mainly shoot at licenced ranges. Do you not see the point in owning handguns either? Are you a Liberal? Come on man. There are many popular sports for restricted firearms as well as many shooters who like to just shoot them for fun. Or just collect them as a hobby. Come out to a competitive match some time. I bet you would have a great time. Might even get into it.

This is $699. Cheaper then a 223/5.56 shorty. Ammo is cheap. More trigger time = better shooter. Feels the same as the real deal and is great practice for cheap. Same reason they make 22lr conversions for ARs. Many own both. Keeps cost of shooting down.
 
That's a cool little gun, shame it's restricted.

I kind of have a problem with buying a restricted long gun of any variety too. I just can't quite justify it when alot of my shooting takes place on private land. It's grossly stupid, that gun is fundamentally the same as a Ruger 10/22, a blowback operated semi-auto. Ugh, we all know how stupid our laws are!

Maybe the laws will get changed by the time that I'm old and grey, retired and have nothing better to do than teach grandkids to shoot...

No its not. This .22 is from ground up its own design, which in some way like you mention sucks that you cant mount anything else BUT its the most reliable semi auto .22 I've owned. (10/22, mp15-22, ) Im well over 4000 with out a single fail, mind you i clean it every trip back from the range as well.
 
I have had mine for a couple of months.. ordered it form my local gun shop in portage la prairie.. Not as accurate as my smiths.. but still alot of fun. If it is going to be restricted anyways it may as well be short.
