They only seem to be available in EU. Notice it says "Available Feb 2006"......still not on Savage USA website.

The Mako should shoots as good as the Savage 93 series with heavy barrel
or better since the Mako stock is so much better handling ...

Yeah, I agree. The laminate wood trigger guard is a terrible idea as well......won't last too long with regular use.

I think the laminated wood is very strong as a part of the trigger guard
it should last for a target gun. Some of the guns today have trigger guards
made out of plastic and they're still last under regular use, unless the
trigger guard is beat to hell everytime the trigger is pulled ..... LOL .....

At least if it was a seperate piece....plastic, pot metal, whatever.....if it broke you could replace it. If that breaks, you need a new stock.
