Frog lubed the whole gun as I did with my 19111ac norinco model and noticed it's not as slick to the touch...anyone else use frog lube on pistols and give some advise between pistols.
anyways the tooling is typical but nos as bad as my older 19111ac but will need some break in time at the range..
I have to say its not bad for $300 bucks..will be ordering some new grip screws and few other parts later on down the road
If I remember correctly I ordered over the weekend April 12 when Canada Ammo had sale and firearm shipped April 27 with cfo approval..received today 14:15. Not bad would have had it one week sooner but live in Ontario so oh well.
Great service from Canada Ammo minus not shipping via canada post as I requested but all in all it still worked out.
Glenn.

Awesome! I got mine today too. I went with the Norinco Government model. I was expecting CanPar tomorrow almost missed the delivery because I was sleeping.

Will take it apart and clean it tomorrow. first restricted!

Oh ya forgot I got two ar pens, ( wife laughed at me ) targets , magazine and small bottle of hand sanatizer.....not sure why the last one but hey.
also the gun came with two 7 round mags and just messing around with snap caps and added an 8 round mag the stock ones are okish but the follower catches when you load the first round, but did notice it ejects the snap caps farther then my other 1911.
may go to range once paperwork arrives I'm off next couple of days so we will see...honey to do list is growing..lol
Anyone else us frog lube on one of these?

anyone replaced the grip screws?
they coated these ones and the threads are in poor condition ..
besides brownells anyone locally ship 1911 parts? want new screws and maybe new safety and slide release..the ones that came with gun look little beat up..kicked around on floor for a few days then installed..lol.

Tooo funny, I got the AR pen in a lot of ammo. Took me the longest time to figure out it was a pen!

My Son purchased the AR rifle and ammo deal and didn't get one?

I got the same one from that sale and treated it with archoil. Replaced springs with wolf, got the Dlask magwell and trigger to put in. VZ operator ii grips on backorder. Threads on my screw's are the same. Ambi safety was a real pain to remove. The screw on extended mag release comes loose with use.

how is the archoil working for ya? :)
op congratz, love my norks, cheap and cheerful.

Thanks
I have no paperwork so can't leave the house with it...and to make things worse ....I took a couple of vacation days so three days off .....I want to go to the range but can't....
trying to find parts is crazy..marstar has some but not all that im looking for and I was told that brownells won't ship screws and few other things...crazy..
has anyone changed out the grip screws I know the standard 1911 screws won't fit as different threads but what about changing the bushings will they thread in? If not I'll have to settle for norinco screws from marstar
I found the slide to frame fit is actually good doesn't move from side to side....
Glenn.

I ordered the exact same model and am waiting for it to arrive! Just got my ship notification yesterday, delivery expected on Monday (I'm hoping friday though). Three weeks is pretty long to wait, but at least I can ogle your photos in the meantime ;D

hey
the problem is we don't live near canada ammo so we can't pick anything up. My delivery was to monday but came friday (early) but I was at work...was gonna go pick it up on my day off but then decided to take a few days off to finish some stuff around the house.
Its a nice gun little rough in some spots but for the price you can't complain.
Terapr0...where do you shoot?
will you be changing out any parts on it when you get it..
For now I may butcher my 1911ac1 which has nicer parts ( screws, slide release and safety) for now anyways till I can order new parts
I have a serpa holster and it fits perfectly better then my GSG 1911...
can't wait to take it to urban tactical for a run.
I just started to take apart both my 1911's and noticed the Dominion arms barrel has more of a slant where the guide rod sits against which makes it slide off the barrel easier when the slide isn't on the frame..weird

I shoot restricted at Lakeshore Arms Academy which is just a few minutes down the road from home. Never made it out to Urban Tactical but have been meaning to at some point as I hear it's quite nice.

I imagine I'll certainly be swapping / upgrading parts on it, although I wanted to get it, see what's what and then start making decisions about what to change. I've only ever held/fired a 1911 once in my life and plan on doing a lot of reading and learning before I start tinkering with it too much. I imagine the grips will be the first minor thing to change, but then I'll likely want to give it a trigger job and start swapping out parts from there. Very excited to dive in and start learning :D

Its a nice set up they have its about 1.5hr drive but I stay for a few hours and take a few guns to make it worth my wild
the staff are great
I like to shoot surplus ammo as its much cheaper and its ok to shoot it at urban tactical
let us know when your gun arrives and take some pics

Grease: I put that #### on everything.

Anyone who sells 1911 grips in good number ought to have screws. I usually get a set or two whenever I order grips

the finish on this thing isn't smooth...kinda gritty...anyone with one of these , what to do to protect finish ..it's gonna get scratched and used but should I be polishing it or something...first "chrome ish " finish gun for me.
