new auto 5 shotguns

Have no experince with a new auto five . I do own the new A5 . Its been a good gun works as it should . Its well balanced and points well .

I do like this comment. But I have two, real/original, A-5s one in 20 gauge and the other is a mag-12. But old and new do share one commonality, well sort of, both designs are "recoil" operated. The originals being, blessed be John Moses Browning, long recoil, and newer guns being inertia recoil.

I think for upland hunting the auto 5, and let's not ##### at each other about the name, is about as perfect an autoloader as you could buy for that purpose. I do note Al Flaherty has a 16 gauge in stock and I am wondering if my wife would miss $1800 from our account.

For goose I think it is good but between the light weight and inertia system it will recoil quite a bit more then say the Maxus. However, where I live the bag limit for waterfowl is so low recoil is hardly a consideration.

Personally the only other semi that excites me in that price range for upland is the rem 1100. Just one guy's opinion of course, and I do tend to prefer my browning pumps.
