New Auto-5?

There'd be buyers for it, but likely not too many. The main reason it was discontinued is because of the cost involved in making that that gun. A lot of machining and hand fitting involved with the A5. Nowadays, it would cost them so much just to make it, they would need to charge a hefty sum to make it worth their effort (profit wise, of course). If the price was realistic, I'd give a downpayment today! I picked up a NIB A5 a while back form a fellow CGN'er, and it's a beautiful piece. Definately one gun I will never sell.

It's not a "shoot all" gun like semis today. I can shoot magnums or it can shoot regular loads if you take the barrel off and the forearm and the barrel spring and switch around the friction rings and put it all back together.

But they are fantastic machines.

Just to let you know, I will have two Auto 5 for sale in a few month, from my brother in law's estate. One is an Auto 5 classic - engraved - the other the standard Auto 5.

I think the Remington model 11 is the same design

That's right. I believe the only difference is that the Remington lacks a magazine cutoff.

The Remington Model 10 is actually the direct ancestor of the Ithaca Model 37 pump gun.
