After three weeks in customs, my AYA 28 gauge was finally released, so I went down to Prophet River to pick it up. It is an identical match for the 20 gauge that I bought on consignment from Prophet River, and it fits perfectly, and swings very nice. As per usual, the transaction went smoothly, and Clay kept me informed as to the progress of the order. Below are both the 20 and 28, with the 28 gauge below.

These will be my go to pheasant, sharptailed grouse, and Hungarian partridge guns, and I actually prefer the 28 gauge over the 20. I can hardly wait to kill my first pheasant over my new dog with the 28.

Beautiful pieces... hunting upland game is more enjoyable for me when I am shouldering a nice gun.

Those are very nice...... Upland carries a tradition like no other hunt for me.... It's where I cut my teeth and why I got hooked......

You have two wonderful choices there.... And picked a great dealer and a great shotgun...... It matches that great pup you picked.... Kudos.....

In that case, perfect...... And I would imagine that .410 would make for a great walk and a very pleasant challenge......

I shoot skeet with a 410, and I have shot sharptailed grouse on the wing with one, but I find the 28 gauge to be far superior, so I don't hunt with a 410 anymore.
