New barrel for Stevens help

So, I have a couple of old Stevens rifles. One is a 32 rolling block and the other is a 25 tip up. I am thinking that I could re-barrel them with a Ruger 10/22 barrel. Can anyone tell me what is the diameter of the 10/22 barrel where it fits in to the receiver.
Appreciate any info that you have.

Yes, I thought of that. I think that any competent machinist should be able to machine the offset that is required to make it work without needing to rework the firing pin. On the 25 cal it would work out to about .015" or so I don't think that the small amount would affect the integrity of the barrel.
 
I have a moded 22 cal barrel , with receiver block that would bolt , right up to your 25 cal tip action. It was made by a guy in the GTA Ontario area, did a great job, works well, but I have another in 32 cal, so it would be surplus to me. if you would like some pics, etc, drop me a pm and we can talk .
